Prison Minister Program

We are no longer prisoners when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. It does not matter where we go, who we are with, what is happening to us, or what we have done. Inside of a believer, we are no longer prisoners. Lady and Lion Church is committed to sharing that message through our prison systems.  Behind these walls, these people feel forgotten and misunderstood. They may feel horrible shame and guilt. Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins, once and for all. We have been set free.

Many incarcerated people have been called by God into the ministry. These people are a beautiful extension of The Bride of Christ. As part of The Church, they are filled with the Holy Spirit and commit their time to learning scripture, prayer, practicing faith, witnessing and then sharing that throughout the prison halls around them.

It is our goal through our Prison Minister Program to teach, support, uphold and provide for these disciples of Christ. The correctional system is a cold, harsh and lonely place, leaving many feeling hopeless and desolate. We hope by ordaining these leaders of God, and providing them with scripture support materials, bible study and guidance that they will help to break down the walls of despair for these people behind these prison walls and share about God's love and the perfect grace and mercy He provides for all.

We will connect virtually or sometimes by mail with the minister candidates. The candidates will have a study program, a study guide and a test at the end. We will provide them a certificate for ordination. These ministers for Christ will now hold a professional ordination certification through our Church, Lady and Lion. They will have continued support and guidance throughout the program to grow their ministry inside the prison. Prisoners may also consider furthering their ministry after re-entry, in their communities and even as clergy to other prisons or jails. We offer an extension community support program for prison ministers who wish to dedicate their lives to living a life of servitude. We will assist in finding placement for the ministers to grow their ministry and give them a letter of recommendation.

Are you a Family Member, A friend or a loved one that knows a incarcerated person who has been called by God to minister to others? Have you witnessed God's calling on their life and believe they have been set apart to share the gospel and bring people to a life following Jesus Christ? Have they or are they planning on sharing Bible study or Bible class?  Please leave us your contact info and we will respond quickly.

Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus tells his followers, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.”
